How hard is the class? I am thinking about taking it because I like math but maybe not if people think it is too hard or not worth it for a chemistry majo.r

Don’t you have to take DiffEq for a Chem major? I don’t know Chemistry, but I think it would be really important.

I don’t really know what LinAlg 2 is. Can you post a description?

^At my school, chem majors only have to take up to Calc III, no DE required. Although most of them do indeed take it.

Not sure why DE/Linear Alg 2 would be lumped into one class though?

Both are easy courses.

Differential Equations is easy. Basically as algorithmic as a math course can get i.e, it’s just memorizing a bunch of techniques for solving different types of DE’s. For Linear Algebra 2, it depends. If it’s a proof-based class, it should be very tough. If it’s another matrix manipulation based class, should be easy. If these aren’t two but one class with the title of “DE/LA 2” then it should be easy.

I had friends in both classes last semester and based on their stress level, I’m only taking DifEQ and not LinAlg next semester, if that helps haha :D
