How difficult is a Basic Statistics class or an Applied Statistics Class? I would like to take the Applied Statistics class atP Pitt because I know it would be more beneficial for my future. However, I'm not the greatest at math. Thanks for the help. Any advice would be great.

Hey! I don’t go to Pitt, but I am currently at another large state school and am taking Intro to Statistics. I’m also not the biggest fan of math. From what we’ve covered so far, it seems * manageable * enough, although I don’t know if I really like it all that much.

It seems like a lot of Stats is knowing when to apply certain formulas and knowing vocab (and in earlier chapters, understanding different types of graphs). I do recommend taking the class because like you said, it’s good to know and one of the few classes where I can actually see myself applying concepts outside the textbook.

Best of luck!
