difficult to double major in engineering & linguistics?

Hey so currently I am going to UC Berkeley as an Undeclared major in the College of Letters & Science. At first, I was considering applying into the Haas School but now I'm thinking about transferring into the EECS department of the College of Engineering. I'm also considering double majoring in linguistics as well. Does anyone know how difficult it is to double major in linguistics & cse (that's the specific program I'm interested in)?

If your emphasis is CS, then doing L&S CS will give you more flexibility to add a second L&S major like Linguistics than doing EECS. Also, L&S CS is not a capped or impacted major, unlike EECS.

Linguistics only requires 8 or 9 courses, but 5 of them are specified courses which do not fulfill the College of Engineering’s Humanities and Social Studies Requirement (so they would have to be taken as free electives, of which there usually are not that many in an engineering degree program, unless you enter with lots of useful AP or other credit).
