Is it harder to get into the business school for ug than it is for the lib arts college?

I don’t think it matters. I know there are more boys in the business school than girls, so I guess maybe easier for girls to get into VSB.

i also heard there were more girls born in november than boys born in november in the business school if that helps

At a visit to Villanova, they were encouraging liberal arts students to attend for a summer to earn a minor in business. The woman said some liberal arts students have trouble getting into business school classes during the regular school year.

Would that also mean that freshman acceptance to the business school is more competitive?

Freshman acceptance to the business school is the most competitive of all the schools within the University. Yes, this includes Engineering. I did it, you can do it too. You can also try to transfer to VSB after you get accepted into the liberal arts college if you really want.

VSB is known to be the most competitive school, and almost impossible to switch into

I know there isnt a formula to be guaranteed admission, but in terms of selectivity what other schools would you compare VSB to? More like BC? Also it would be cool if any students are willing to post their stats

I applied EA and I thought I had a good shot but now I’m starting to second guess myself. I have a 3.79 gpa and 1430/1600 2140/2400 SAT. Anyone want to estimate chances? My dad went there for undergrad as well so maybe that will help? :/

I applied EA to VSB and I just found out that I got in
GPA is 4.98 weighted. SAT superscore is 2260 (800 CR, 690 M, 770 W). Subject tests are 750 US History, 750 Literature, 630 Math II. Taking all APs this year. I’m also Asian, which I think helped my case a lot, esp for Nova. Idk if I’m going yet since it’s definitely not my first choice (got deferred from Cornell ED). Still waiting for April, though I’m superglad that I actually got in to VSB.
Did you get in?

VSB is harder to get into, yes

I had a 3.8 weighted and 1980 SATs and got in, it is competitive but it can be done.

My son has a 4.5 GPA, 2140 SAT’s…top 7% of class. Got into VSB along with the Honors Program. Not sure yet if he is going…was also accepted into BC and Notre Dame and waiting to hear on some other schools RD…but VBS is one of his top choices:)
