Difficulty Getting in to UT Austin, Texas A&M, GA Tech, and Purdue or Any Engineering Programs?

OP, unfortunately I think your SAT scores will be a trifle below average for OOS students this Freshman batch

The Gtech stats (2013 and earlier) posted by one of the posters seem outdated considering that GTech joined the Common App last year and had a sizeable jump in apps, incl. OOS ones.

Having mentioned this, please note that the rigor of secondary courses, GPA and ECs have played a bigger role in selection at GTech than SAT/ACT alone.

Well that’s not what Sakky a long time poster often told us. His roommate was kicked out of UCB engineering for 1.99 GPA.

Purdue also has a fairly high drop out rate. If I remember it correctly from last year’s campus visit, around 80% of engineering students got into their desired major.
