I want to do pre-med. Im applying to a lot of highly competitive schools. I feel like I want to major in Biology cause its straight-forward pre-med, but I wouldn’t mind doing something cool like Neuroscience or even psychology if it gets me into Brown/Cornell. My question: How much harder is it for an asian-female to be accepted into a school if applying as a bio major as opposed to a psych/neuroscience major?
Unlike the European system, and given that all those courses are in the same college within the university, it will make absolutely no difference at all. Both Brown & Cornell will take your major interest with a grain of salt, knowing that there is a lot of moving around in first year. You generally don’t formally declare your major before late first year, and most people don’t declare until second year.
Thanks @collegemom3717 i hadn’t thought of it that way
