Can anybody tell me about the degree of difficulty of SLU's courses?

I'm an incoming freshman majoring in biology as a part of their Medical Scholars program.
Here's the link for the courses I will take:
Pre-medicine Curriculum : Saint Louis University : SLU
The freshman and sophomore year schedule should be accurate, but the junior and senior year schedule may differ.

I am also in the Honors Program. Does anybody know how difficult their honors courses are and how much more difficult they are than the general courses?

Also, I was thinking about adding a second major (or maybe only a minor) in political science. How hard is it to double major at SLU?

Thanks! :)

Woo Honors program!! I’ll be a sophomore this year and I’m in the Honors program, and I’m just saying… good decision joining it. The Honors classes tend to be harder in that they aren’t straight-up “memorize this information and regurgitate it in a multiple choice test”. The Honors classes are based more in discussion, reflection, and critical thinking. A great example is the Intro History course. Instead of memorizing when Columbus came to America, what the effects were, etc, you might study immigration to the New World through literature.
Lots of my friends are Med Scholars, so I’ll be honest with you, the science classes can be daunting. Just get some study buddies and know that everyone is in the same boat. If you don’t live on the Honors floor, befriend someone who does. Half of them are Med Scholars and its a good place to be the week before a big Bio and/or Chem test. If you’re committed to studying medicine, I’m sure you’ll do fine.
Oh, and you can totally add on a major/minor: almost everyone at SLU does, including pre-med students!
I hope this helps! :)
