Difficulty of getting into UCSC?

<p>I have a friend that is looking to transfer to UCSC from a CCC with around a 2.8 GPA. What are his chances of getting in?</p>

<p>What is his major? I've seen a fellow get in with a 2.7-2.8 for Biochem; so tell him not to give up hope.</p>

<p>EDIT: I just asked my friend who goes to UCSC, she said he'll get in--if he is an engineering major, it might be a different story.</p>

<p>He wants to go into physical therapy so he's going to major in some sort of biological science - definitely not engineering though.</p>

<p>I talked to Advisor at UCSC. Engineering is not an impacted major at UCSC. No GPA cutoff</p>
