Difficulty of JHU

<p>I have heard horror stories of Johns Hopkins academics. As a prospective engineering student, how do you feel the difficulty of getting A's at hopkins is vs. Cornell, Duke, CMellon or HPYS. Are there any advantages to a JHU engineering degree vs. the others listed? since I want to go to Medical school, is it wise to go to a school famed for its difficulty?
