first of all let me list a couple of my stats:

national merit scholar
2250 (760,760,730) - retaking next week
34 on act with writing - retaking in 3 weeks ( sick during first exam)
4.5 weighted gpa / 3.87 unweighted / 25/784 rank (ballpark figure)
jazz band (lead trumpet)
NHS
latin exec board
fermilab physics classes
100 hrs at a veterns hospital
cross country (9-10) track (10-11)

My classes are almost all AP.... gotta couple of B's in Calc BC... im in Calc III/linear algebra this year hope to make up for with A's...other B's in AP Chem soph year...

Didnt list everything but you guys get the idea...

so far im thinking about these direct meds:
-univeristy of miami
-miami university
-UIC GPPA
-HPME
-UKMC

obviously hpme is out of the question but just thought id give it a go, wanted to know if theres anything else thats worth taking a look at? Im an illinois resident btw. Is the PLME program near impossible too or would it be feasible to apply? just need some more suggestions to consider.

also, due to the very realistic possibility i wont get into a direct med cos of my grades/rank, any good undergrad business schools or premed you guys can recommend to match my stats?

every thing looks good. don't bother with the sats, its a waste. you should get into umkc, umiami. not sure about uic and hpme is a toss up for anyone.

only thing that worries me is the massive number of qualified people applying just from my high school to many of these programs (for exmaple, our district has 54 national merit shcholars, and its only 2 high schools)

do you think this would affect how they seek diversity on campus and usually dont like to accept too many ppl from the same school? or is that only for top notch schools like harvard?

If your test scores can be slightly improved and all else on the application is strong, give these top five progs a shot. This list does not take residency and the financial aspect into account.
