i have just received my scores and i have a composite of 27

E 24
M 30
R 27
S 25

this is my first time taking the test, and i have done no prep or practice tests or sections. My goal is to bring my score to a comp of 31. Will I need to do alot to achieve this? or can it be done by just going through the red book u can buy from ACT? My english on SAT is usually my best section, and I thought I did well on this section on the ACT so im not quite sure to think about that. On a side note my first time taking SAT after only doing princeton review prep i got a 1890 (640 M 660 E 590 CR)

yeah since it was my first time seeing the format and questions and such i think i can go up a little just from familiarity with the test, good to know u got 4 points just from that… anyone else have similar stories? or did it take a good amount of studying for other people?

Similar Story Here.
First Test I ever took cold I got a 25. Now I have a 31! What you’re looking at is completely possible. Since August, though, I have read the princeton review book cover to cover. Also, I have taken 10+ tests (real and practice). It seems with motivation, and the Idea that the ACT is very easy are very important.
If you’re curious here are some other things:
ACT(1)
E:21
M:27
R:24
s:26

ACT(Now)
E:31
M:35
R:29
S:28

Anythings possible, just familirize yourself with the material!

congrats on your improvement, but yeah I hope by doing practice tests and studying up until the june test date using the red book I can improve a couple of points

I know that no one probs cares but all i did to study was go thru my april test where i got a 27, look at everything I got wrong, and correct it, as well as go thru math and english strats from the real act book and I got my 31 in June. 29 English and math and 32 science and reading… anyone can do it, just go thru what u normally get wrong, makes sense doesnt it?

I got a 24 on English and a 25 on Science too! High Five! Don’t worry. I have a friend who got a 22 the first time but he got a 34 on June. “It all works out fine.” That’s what he told me.

Totally forgot about this but I ended up getting a 31 in June simply by going over my April test the week before and grading my mistakes. Alot of it must be confidence and luck on your personal comfort with the science and reading sections of that specific test.
