Difficulty of workload for Bio major

I was just reading through the threads, and I came across that the Bio major at BU is ridiculously difficult, is this true, or is it manageable, granted that one puts in a decent amount of effort. I am asking this question because I plan on going onto med school to become a doctor, and I don’t want to go to a school where I will do poorly (in terms of grades).

Thanks

Majoring in biology is tough no matter what school you attend!(a lot to read and digest)
My brother attends Adelphi and is majoring in Biology. He is currently taking Biology 2; the average grade on his last exam was somewhere in the 60s- the highest score was a 98(only one girl scored this high).

Lots of people do pre-med at BU and go to medical school so the programs can’t be graded low. Med school admission is grades and MCAT - plus interview & showing concern for humanity, etc. but mostly grades and MCAT.

You don’t have to major in Bio to be pre-med but if that’s your interest then you are more, not less likely to do well in the pre-med requirements.

I don’t know if science is tougher because science people often find it more natural than liberal arts.
