Difficulty Rankings of AP Classes

Why do people think bio is hard? it's easy as hell, but then I had 2 years of it. Chemistry is the hardest AP, flat out. The material is the hardest and most complex. Maybe the curve is helpful because of this, but that doesn't change the fact of how hard the material is. Calc BC is pretty easy too. I didn't do any homework or pay attention all year and I just did practice packets my teacher gave us for about 2 months before the test and I'm pretty sure I got a 5. Euro is pretty easy too.

What's all of this hype with Chem? The concepts aren't too hard, definitely aren't that in depth and the math isn't bad at all with the formulas they give you (even though you don't get them for the multiple choice questions). I got 73 out of 75 multiple choice right on the practice AP I took...

Anyone who thinks Chem is the hardest AP did not take Physics C.

i thought the chem test was harder then the physics c test, and i took 2 years of chem and never took physics. i thought chem was by far the most difficult of the ap tests.

my ap ranking of the tests i've taken:
1. chem
2. physics c em
3. physics c mech
4. eng lang
5. calc bc
6. us gov
7. world history
8. econ

ahhh.. should I be looking forward to AP chem next year? I thought I was, but too many people are saying that it's the HARDEST AP! Anyone find it easily doable????????

english

us history

bio

cal

I thought AP Chem was extremely easy. Then again, it doesn't cover nearly as many topics as IB Chem. The most annoying part of the AP exam was not being able to use the calculator (I'm lazy). :)

easy to hard

stats (pretty much all calculator...even if you have no idea what you're doing on some questions, you can get the right answer if you just know how to work the calculator)

compsci a (i can see how this can be hard if you dont have a good teacher...)

calc ab (taking a lot of practice tests helped for this test just cuz you start to see the same questions and the same "tricks" that they throw at you)

compsci ab (thought it was pretty comparable to compsci a...i think the only weird stuff was the theoretical big O stuff...)

chem (def. a lot of material, but a lot of it is calculations... it's definitely not the hardest ap...)

american history (i liked it better than europe just because it's a lot easier to keep track of one country, albeit more in depth)

bio (a lottttt of material, but i guess the curve is nice so you can leave a bunch blank and still do decent :P )

euro (i think the fact that this is most people's first ap makes it hard...but yeah, its a lotttt of material and i guess it's just kind of hard to make the distinction between how much to know....there's a difference between knowing little facts about wars and which edict did what in what year and knowing the big picture of what's going on in europe at a general time...make sure you can talk about both)

physics c (had no idea *** i was doing ... felt more confident about mechanics but left more blank than i did on the E & M... weird test. i'm hoping the curve's very nice to me :P)

Hardest to Easiest-they are all AP so they each have their own degree of difficulty

But if I were to rank them in test difficulty, it would be a whole different story...

easiest to hardest:

1)env sci
2) bio
3) chem
4) physics c OMG. so hard

This is another pointless thread as people have different strengths and weaknesses and their teachers have different difficulty levels and prepare them to different degrees...

It's like asking someone to rank their favorite sports teams.

just stop.

mine so far from hardest to easiest as far as the exam:

1) Bio
2) English Language
3) Human Geography(easy exam but i screwed up)
4) European
5) U.S
6) World
