Hi! I’m a prospective digital art, photography, or photojournalism major. I am currently working on college applications and a good chunk of them are art schools such as NYU Tisch, Parsons, Pratt and more. I’ve been really focusing on art lately because I’ve come to the realization that i’d like to make a career out of it. I’m attending Tisch’s Portfolio Review Day and open house in a few weeks and i’m exited to showcase my work and receive feedback; however, i don’t feel the slightest bit prepared for it because I don’t know what to select for my portfolio (10-15 images). I would greatly appreciate alumni, art connoisseurs, or even fellow prospective students to share your thoughts. I haven’t added everything to my website as of now, but please feel free to let me know what types of pieces I should include. I mainly focus on heavy manipulation of images, portraits, urban life, and now i’m venturing into the world of graphic design. Additionally, Tisch DPI is my number one choice currently, so if anyone has any information on the admissions process as well as overall opinions of the program, please share.
