I'm going to be a Freshman at UF this fall and am signed up as a digital arts and sciences major. It is basically a cross between computer science and digital art and is located in the college of engineering. Does anyone have any experience with something like this as it seems relatively new and I haven't been able to find much about it. I am just wondering what type of opportunities this would prepare me for as opposed to just majoring in digital arts or computer science.

Woo, that sounds really cool, it’s actually something I’m considering.
Possibilities:
Game design - knowing both art and programming is useful
Advanced animation (needs some programming/scripting skills) for some software or movie graphics company
