I'm looking around for a UMass school to add to my list as a very possible backup, in case I don't get as much money from private colleges as I'd like. I want to become a web or graphic designer-- something along those lines, but I really don't want to go to MassArt (I want a more diverse education). I know that UMass Dartmouth has the strongest art/design program out of the UMass system, but it's literally 15 minutes away from my house and I'd much prefer to go somewhere a little bit more seperate from my tiny hometown.

Unfortunately UMass Amherst has no graphic design major (though I noticed that it was on the list of "recently created majors" in the make-your-own-major type program), but I did notice the digital media art concentration. There's very little information about it on the website, and while I am e-mailing for more info, I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it or had any experience with it?

Thanks!
