Dilemma about which scores to send

<p>Hey guys, I'm new here, and I figured it'd be a good place to ask this question.</p>

<p>I've taken the SAT I's twice, first time I got a
700 M, 690 CR, 680 Writing<a href="2070%20total">8 Essay</a>.</p>

<p>The second time, I got a:
690 M, 610 CR, 800 Writing<a href="2100%20total">9 Essay</a>.</p>

<p>I'm probably applying for the UC's, Univ. Southern California, UChicago and UMichigan.
I was wondering which of my scores I should send or if I should send both, and why.</p>

<p>I'm going to take the ACT this fall, it'd be my first attempt.</p>

<p>Colleges usually take your highest scores from whichever sections they consider, so I’d send both. If you only want to send one you can check which of your colleges don’t consider the writing score (most don’t) and send the first… but I’d be safe and send both.</p>

<p>UC will take your highest single sitting: 2100
USC and all other Privates will Superscore you at 700M/690CR/800W = 2190.</p>

<p>You see now why UC SAT scores seem so much less than other Top 50 schools?</p>
