I entered my 2nd Semester of CC with a modest GPA and decided to crank up the workload to 18 units (6 classes)

I found myself overloaded pretty quickly and dropped a Geology class that was irrelevant to my major (Business Economics)

But now I'm finding myself in major trouble and it might be too late. My accounting class has fallen apart and I am almost out of reach for even a B in the class. This would take me down to a mere 10 units though.

I cannot dare take a C on my transcript at this point but would a W be wise considering it would now make that 3 W's through 30 units?

I feel like it might be the only solution, I can easily get an A in the class with some extra time, but I need to nearly ace my next two exams to get a B even.

At my college a student need to complete a certain amount of attemped credits with a certain GPA or they will be suspended from financial aid for at least a semester. You should check into that if you get financial aid. Your college may also have other restrictions to how many classes you can drop so call and ask. Can you ask your professor for extra credit assignments and help studying?

no way. I got into cal. I have an embarrassing number of Ws. Ask the cal rep, its ok. the UCs are number oriented. Like itd suck if you had Ws EACH semester. But i had 1 year worth of Ws my first year of college. yeeep that would be, I dunna 10 Ws? The first of college for me was sort of not for me at that time. Also, I just talked to my admissions officer at cal and she said it was cool if i dropped one course (not related to my major) if need be. The difficulty I see for you is either grad school (if you care about that) but u could make that up by being smart for the next two years and not dropping at all, and going under full time. =\ PS, I had a D and two Cs on my transcript and cal did not reject me, and I got into other top top schools, so maybe one C isnt worth stressin about.
