I’m in my last semester at my community college and I should transfer for fall 17. I am an animal biology major and have an approved tag with UC Davis… Now, physics is really stressing me because the professor isn’t the best & I know there is no way I can pass that class with a B or higher… Since I tagged with Davis. I called and asked if dropping will affect my tag and they said no because physics is not a major prereq. All Davis wants from me is to maintain a 3.2 gpa . My gpa right now is at a 3.19 and I’ve calculated the “what if” GPAs I can possibly get if I get an A in another class and B in a calc class I’m taking along with physics… Anyhow, IF I pass physics with a C, my gpa will be a 3.22 and if I drop physics, my GPA will be a 3.27. So either way I am still safe to keep my tag.
However, since I am an animal biology major and want to get into vet school, I don’t know if the best option will be to drop it with a W so I won’t have another C in my transcript… (I already got 1 C in biology and 1 C in chemistry) or just try and push through this semester with physics (by the way, I know there is no way I can get a B, it will definitely be a C)
I am in such a dilemma and don’t know what I should do in this point. I hate physics so much, it is my weakest subject and I know that if I end up dropping it, I will still have to retake it but I can try and retake it in UC Davis , see if the professors are better, or even try to take it at another community college while attending Davis …
I’ve already been in my community college for 3 years so a priority of mine right now is to transfer and start on my upper division courses and prepare for vet school
Please give me opinions, thanks
