Hi,

I in a really tough situation. I was planning to apply for a Masters of Accounting degree after finishing my economics at the University of Michigan.

Everything was going fine until my previous semester. I had a 3.4 GPA and a 3.2 GPA for economics. Nothing spectacular, but I think I could have got in to a tier 2 type school. But last semester, I completely ****ed up and basically failed like 3 econ courses that I was taking. This crashed my GPA to a 2.933 overall and 2.4 GPA for Econ. These grades will improve by the end of this month, but not by a lot (even though I am doing okay this semester).

The reason I *ed up that semester was because I made a lot bad decisions and I had seizure a few days before finals. I had some mental health issues, but it was my own fault.
This meant that I had to take the finals later on and I still didn't do well because I still *ed all the coursework during that semester. It's all my fault and I feel despondent and worthless.

I haven't done my GMAT yet, but I am averaging around 640ish I would say. I am going to try to push that up to 700, but I doubt that will happen.

At this point, I don't really see many choices other than applying to several tier 3 schools.

I am considering applying to Pace University. Does anyone know how competitive they are? Would they still take me with my horrible grades if I got a decent GMAT score. I have done an internship last summer, nothing fancy, but it was still a good experience.

I speak Russian fluently, but I don't think anyone will care about that.

Perhaps someone could suggest some other tier 3 Business schools (with Masters of Accounting programs) in NY? I am an international student and I really can't handle living in rural America anymore.

And Finally, is there any point in applying to tier 3 Masters of Accounting program. The big 4 obviously won't consider me. But I wouldn't mind working for a small firm or something as long as I can find an employer who would sponser me with an H1B visa.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
