Okay well I have really put myself in a huge dilemma. Okay so it is basically my last chance to improve my grades this January...I'm a senior...

SAT I grades: 620 CR, 620 M, 660 W : 1900 if i take again i will somehow get that 2000+ hopefully

SAT IIs : Math 1: 600, Biology M: 550 if I will take again, I'm going to re-take Bio M + Literature test and hope to get 700+ on each.

BUT what do you think is more important to improve at this moment. I have great EC's, amazing essay, great recommendation letters and I'm really aiming for top schools...Johns Hopkins..George Washington..Princeton..(i want to go so badly..i know it's slim to none but hey..) so someone please give me good advice!! thanks.

take the ACT in Feb and take the Subject tests in Jan

I’m a senior, the last chance to take them is January and I’m not taking ACTs. I would like to know if I should take SAT I or SAT IIs, but thanks on the input.

Your scores are in the middle 50 percent for GW, so work on your subject test scores if you want to apply to GW
If you’re planning to apply to princeton you’ll need near perfect scores for both the sat subject tests and SAT (and both have equal weight in the admissions process). Since you can only do one, I’d recommend you take the Subject tests during January and take the ACT during Feb because the chances of getting into Princeton with high sat scores but low sat 2 scores (or vice versa) are slim.

You don’t have much of a shot at Princeton or JHU, so I would focus on GW.

And GreedIsGood which is probably the lamest username ever, your advice is certainly useless seeing you’ve come to simply put me down. I have had enough people doing that in my life already thank you very much. Go **** yourself. :)

Sorry I was just being realistic. Go apply Yale SCEA, and then shoot yourself in the foot.

Sudaflower, you’re a jerk for all the mean posts you have been posting on other peoples posts.
You say how they are never getting in, but you want to get in to Princeton with a 1900?
HAHAHA.
Doesn’t feel good to be put down, does it?
Seriously, don’t be rude to other people and not expect people to respond negatively.

Whoa… hostile thread alert.

sudaflower24, GreedIsGood is being rather blunt, but there is no need to be rude (you told him to ___ himself in another thread and called him a “heartless robot” on another)

Here is my honest opinion: if you want to go to Princeton or JHU, you need to pull your SAT I up, at least into the 2000s range. Your subject test scores are not good, but not as bad as they could be. If your ECs, recs, and essays are as amazing as you say they are, however, I believe that you still stand a chance! Don’t give up hope! The only way you’ll get 0% chance of admissions is if you DON’T apply :)

Rainbowsprinkles thank you very much for being honest bur respectful about it and not rude. I really appreciate that and the only reason I got hostile was because the crap I was getting from GreedisGood. I can honestly write down 100 different ways he could have said what he said but in a polite way where it would have been rendered positive yet honest feedback but just bluntly saying “you don’t have much of a shot” is the meanest, degrading thing I’ve heard. I really did not appreciate that at all. So many people on CC are really just plain full of themselves and don’t have a tad bit of humbleness which really angers me.

Anyways thank you again Rainbowsprinkles.

PS. futurepresident in your fair judgement, i believe in “an eye for an eye” so Greedisgood deserves what he got for all the negative and degrading comments his been saying to all the ccers and I’m afraid I’m not sorry for what I did as long as he is not.

Haha no problem. There’s too much negativity in the world, I’m just trying to add some positivity back. I’ve gotten overall good feedback on my chance threads, but some of them are quite mean. For example: “based of your stats and ECs, you don’t stand much of a chance of getting into any of them. Save yourself now and apply to other college where you actually stand a chance of getting into”… Gee, thanks a lot.

You know, I don’t even really mind these “NO YOU WILL FAIL DON’T EVEN BOTHER APPLYING” chancers, but it annoys me a lot when they have lower stats than me. How can you go around and say that someone doesn’t have a chance when you, yourself, don’t even have the stats and are sad that people are saying you’re cooked? I just don’t get some people.

OOH I just noticed-thanks for chancing me! I really appreciate it (:

I was going to apply to JHU like you, but I have no time for it now. It’s too bad!
