Dilemma of AP credits for College

Again, so what? Have you ever heard of the law of diminishing marginal utility? You get less satisfaction out of your millionth dollar than you do from your 400,000th dollar. Besides, if someone else who spends much more lavishly than I do makes $2 million, they'll actually spend a good majority of their after tax income. I won't.

Fine. You were never I-bank material anyway.

By the way, luminaire, do you exist to chase me around and convince me that I should go into IB rather than corporate law?

All you talk about is I-bank this, I-bank that. It's obvious you have a crush on I-banking, and are too scared to admit it.

I HAD a crush on Ibanking. Not anymore. To quote a certain disney song, I'm moving on and being who I am. I just don't belong there (in IB), I hope you understand. We might find our place in this world someday, but at least for now, I gotta go my own way.

Happy?

Just as a note, the only APs on your list for this year that Stanford still gives credit for are Physics C E+M.

<a href="http://registrar.stanford.edu/pdf/AP_Chart_2007-08.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://registrar.stanford.edu/pdf/AP_Chart_2007-08.pdf</a></p>

Oh... and on the I-Banking note. Based on what I gathered working at a BB this past summer, your hourly wage for take-home pay plus stock-bonuses where applicable (i.e. not including in-kind perks such as food stipends, travel, and traditional benefits) is roughly as follows by year (at top bonus for this past year):
1st analyst - $30
2nd analyst - 35
3rd analyst - 45
(typically business school)
1st assoc - 70
2nd assoc - 90
3rd assoc - 110
1st vp - 140
2nd vp - 180
3rd vp - 220
director (highly variable by group) - 350
managing director (highly variable by group) - 1400

The sharp increases are due both to increases in salary/bonus and to dramatic decreases in the number of hours worked each week.

I was wondering about the ap test as well. I am in AP English Literature and at my school the only way I can place out of the introductory composition course is to get a 5. I also had an english composition course I took, but I don't know if it will carry. I don't know if I should try for it because I will probably get a 4 not a 5.
