Dilemma! (Reasoning or Subject?)

Hey fellow members.

I have one shot left for the SATs (January).
Unfortunately, my scores for both the SAT Reasoning and Subject tests are lackluster.

SAT Reasoning: 670 math, 670 writing, 670 reading

SAT Subject: 770 World History (Only good score), 680 Math I, 650 Biology, 640 Chemistry

For the January Test, should I take the Reasoning or the Subject test? I know that I will do well on this one (due to studying over winter break, etc). With proper studying, I know I can get a high 2100 to a low or medium 2200 score for the reasoning, or I can do better on SAT Math I and Biology.

I plan on applying to top tier colleges (Ivies like Princeton, also Duke, UChicago, Northwestern, Emory, etc), most of which require subject tests (or like students taking and doing well on subject tests). I have good stats in ALL areas (EC, recs, essays, GPA) EXCEPT tests... (shame on me for procrastinating) I just don't know if doing well on Reasoning or doing well on Subject tests will increase my chances for those colleges.

Your advice is much appreciated.

Thank you.

umm… anyone?

I recommend retaking the SAT Reasoning.

Why? Do colleges look at SAT Reasoning with more importance or is it because my SAT scores are too low.

i would say reasoning too, as long as you KNOW you can do better

Reasoning. For the subject tests, you pick the best of those 4 tests. You have decent scores on 2 of them so you are fine.
Your score for reasoning is a bit low. 2100 would look A LOT better

Reasoning. Schools that require subject tests still look at reasoning SATs first.
