Dilemma: to rescore or not to rescore

Alright well I just got my March SAT student answer service (SAS) in the mail, and I noticed that I got the very first math question wrong (section 2 after the essay, question 1). It was an easy geometry question. I got everything else right on the math, but that one "error" caused me to score a 770. I just feel as if there's something wrong, how could I possibly answer the first and easiest question incorrectly?

Should I get my test rescored? It costs 50$. I also plan on taking the test again in June.

I would only consider getting it rescored if you think you didn’t fill the circle in correctly (i.e. didn’t color in enough or something). Since you had everything else, there’s no way you filled the correct answer in but in the wrong space, right? I don’t see what else rescoring would fix  Unless you’re thinking it’s possible that the machine had a glitch when it was scoring that question, but that seems unlikely.

I’m sorry you definitely deserved that 800.

Go ahead. You’re buying yourself some points. It’s worth it.

But I really don’t want to waste my parents’ hard earned money on just 30 points… and it would be horrible to find out that I actually did do the problem wrong. I think I may just take it in June, and if I don’t get the 800 for that month then I will go back to this rescoring thing. Is that possible? As in, will they still allow me to rescore after taking another test?
