So, I had my teachers and counselor send my recommendations before break with my commonapp ID on them. However, I had previously sent my application to another school not knowing that I would not be able to change information on the application after it was sent. After I learned about that rule, I made an alternative application for Stanford to change some information and clean it up a bit. However, the alternative application has a different ID number! My recommendations have already been sent... and it's already Dec. 30th, what can I do?! Thanks in advance!

I'm doing the same thing, actuallly.
I didn't even realize commonapp ID changes, so I sent harvard recs and apps with different numbers. they matched them anyways with no complaints; I'm sure it's a common occurence. as long as you have your full name and social security number matching, I doubt a college will really not be able to match the documents. if you annoy anyone, it'll just be the people who arrange the mailed stuff (and insist on those stupid mailing labels). it shouldn't even touch adcom, calm down. breeeeeathe.

that's very reassuring, thanks so much!

Wow, I didn't know they changed ID's. I was scared for a moment lol.
