hello! well, here's the thing i really just want to know how competitive the Engineering Department at Rutgers NB is, and what the course work is like. Also, is there biochemical engineering? (Their website is not working for em currently for some odd reason : ) I mean, and anything else regarding the Engineering Department for biomedical engineering or maybe biochemical engineering would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! : )

working fine for me…
[Rutgers University, Chemical & Biochemical Engineering](http://sol.rutgers.edu/)
Its very competitive, atleast competitive enough that people don’t expect GPAs higher than 3.0

yeahh the new biomedical enginerring buildiing looks so awesome. I think there is a 5 year program but it’s very difficult.

The courseload on the engineering track is … pretty tough. I say just a little bit lower than premed track.

Basically if you’re good at math (calc) and physics, I’m sure you’ll do fine in it. Some people are able to just spit out information while other ppl are more comfortable with using their information, utilizing it through equations, and working out a solution.

Just try to maintain a 3.0 +

Yea, im going to the Engineering open house on the 24th & i’m kind of excited. I mean, i’m gonna take calculus AB next year (i’m a junior) and this year i have pre-calc and i have a 100 in that class. Oh, and im taking physics my senior year too, and also AP Chem. Do you think that taking the AP chem class would give me more of a chance to get into the Engineering program (or the school in itself). My school has a website and it said that the avg GPA to get into the school is a 96, and i currently have a 93 so idk if that’s a big difference. help? : )

Getting into engineering itself is far less difficult than staying in. Considering your courseload, I would be very surprised if you didn’t get accepted.
