all right here's the deal:

i took the May SAT:

760 CR (:-) i have no idea how that happened)
730 Math
730 Writing

this was sort of unexpected since i always thought i was best at the writing section and better at the math than the verbal. For writing, i got a 73 on the mc part but a 9 on the essay...ouch...but i think i could definitely improve the writing part a lot, because the stupid proctor would not tell us the start OR stop time and the room was too big to see the clock. i tried to time myself but i guess the proctor followed a different time than me and to make a long story short, i was not able to finish the essay, although if i'd been given a 1 minute warning, i could have quickly finished up with a conclusion.

Right now, I'm registered for SAT II (ush and mathIIc) in june. I'm thinking I want to retake the SAT I because i have time between now and then to prep math and writing and hopefully i'll be able to write a better essay in a smaller room with a better proctor. Is it possible to switch so late? I would prefer to take the Math IIC later anyway because I took a practice one and didn't do too hot on it. However, I think taking ush would be better in june since I remember the stuff we did in apush this year. And then again, I don't know if I should take more time to prep over the summer and take the SAT I in october. But if I do that, i wouldn't know whether or not i need to retake till later and that would be cutting it close for college apps. So...should I stick to taking IIs in june and SAT I later? or should i switch to SAT I in june and take the IIs in october? Another reason I want to take the SAT I in june is that if i do well enough, I won't have to do any SAT prep over the summer! and that thought just makes me deliriously happy lol. sorry if that was kind of confusing...just tell me and i'll clarify.

also any tips on improving in math either for the SAT I or the IIC would be appreciated...:-)
