Ok, I think i am going to get into UCLA but I am sooo confused. I got into UCSB and I love that school, it's a perfect fit...except for the shallow party people. But I don't know which one to pick, UCLA will be very competative and I'm not that smart gifted student, I work hard for my grades and it does not come easy. Another thing, I want to have FUN, join clubs, sports, hang out on weekends not necessarily party and NOT study 24-7. But when it comes to getting a job...people will be like, "UCSB oh that party school lets hire the UCLA student" It seems like such an easy choice...LA- top school vs SB. But I feel like I will get bad grades at UCLA and study nonstop.
I had a 3.5 GPA in HS and a 3.6 at my CC.
So what are your thoughts....please help me!

oh and my major is Psychology

UCSB is a fine school.. my parents thought it was "just a party school" so they didn't allow me to apply but its definitely a top school...

a UCLA degree would look better but its definitely what you make out of it. Go wherever you want lol.

Me too. I have high 3.9ish gpa but I studied really hard for them. Too hard in fact (during my youth, I abused substances like there was no tomorrow). I 'm hoping not too many people at UCLA are naturally smart.

But I look at it this way. There's no guarantee that you will get a high gpa at UCSB. So suppose you get an average gpa. Then you might as well get an average gpa at UCLA rather than UCSB, right?

UCLA must be harder than SB though right? I finished my prereqs for SB too so now I just have to work on my major. At UCLA I still have to take some classes. And summer school. I don't even want to take summer school! Why does this have to be so stressful? I hate stress!

What have you learned in your psychology studies regarding stress? :)

well im in the right field cuz while i'm going insane in the library looking up Journals...I can start reading about my "problems" :)

go to UCLA...psych is pretty good there I hear

Its ranked like 3rd.
