<p>I think that there may be some attempt to match academic or other interests. My S had a host who was majoring in the subject which S had pursued outside of the HS curriculum, and it wasn’t something terribly common, such as econ or biology. But maybe it was just a coincidence. :)</p>

<p>And yes, Dimensions is for everyone. Don’t forget that most admits don’t get a likely letter.</p>
