Does anyone know the price of dining ( paying for meals individually in cash or Eagle Bucks) in the TDR? Thanks!

Don’t qoute me on this one, but I think its in the $10-12 range per meal.

I seem to recall that it is around $12 also. Pretty pricey, if you ask me. When my D ran out of swipes last year, I just told her to eat at other places on campus with Eagle Bucks. It was much cheaper.

Wow. I guess if you’re paying cash, you better not go until you’re good and hungry.

Where else can you get an all-you-eat meal, including desserts, all drinks, salad bar, and take-out, for 12 bucks??? A huge bargain!

True, mini, unless you’re not all that hungry. There are a lot of places where you can get an enough-to-eat lunch, if not an all-you-can-eat one, for less than $12.

And, yes, I do recognize that this has been the point of this thread since Post #2, and I’m just restating the obvious.

Wait…and take-out?

Well, if you’re not all that hungry, there are plenty of choices 150 feet away upstairs. The point is that it IS all you can eat, includes all beverages, desserts, salad bars, and take-out. If that’s not you want, eat somewhere else. And yes - folks take stuff out of the dining room.

If only the food were better, it would be more of a bargain. Compared to what is offered at many other colleges these days, TDR is disappointing.

BTW, mini, I hope it’s clear that I wasn’t trying to be argumentative. I really just meant to make conversation.

Are “$400.00 in declining balance funds” offered with the meal plans Eagle Bucks?

It’s $200 in Dining Dollars and $200 in Eagle Bucks.
See explanation here.

American has some of the best campus food anywhere, if you are a vegan or vegetarian. My d., however, didn’t use TDR much, as she is one of those every-two-hour grazers, and like cooking for herself (and she moved off campus 3rd year). So we went with the minimum plan first year.
