If an upperclass student takes the Dinextra only plan for 2005/2006 with a semester value of $1344 per semester and there are 16 weeks in a semester then does that mean that a student only gets $12 a day to spend on food?

i really do not feel like doing the math right now (its almost 5 am) but if thats how it works out, then yes, I suppose so. I'm pretty sure I could do $12 a day on campus, but the choices would be somewhat limited. Meal blocks are a better deal, but I'm against them.

I am pretty sure that if you have x dollars of dinex per semester, then you start out with that much and can spend it whenever you want. If you wanted to spend all x dollars the first week you could, but you wouldnt have any money left.

I thought CMU gave you 2 weeks of your meal plan at a time, to keep people from spending it all at once, I suppose. Don't know if it's like that for upperclassmen.

upperclassmen can do whatever they want. If they opt for the plan, I think the dinex is per semester... but im not positive.
