So, i took a Visual and Performing Arts class: Music Appreciation in a community college. Upon completing the course I transfered it to my high school transcript.

On the the University of California application, i listed the class as the community college and Visual Performing Arts. But the "Tally" still said i needed 1 Visual Perform Art.

Now to solve this problem, do i just state it as it is and send in my application, or do i set it as my high school so that it will tally?

I'm not sure. How many credits was it? If it was 3, you should be fine. Make a note somewhere on your application stating that you did complete the requirement. I listed mine as a college course and it tallied. Maybe you didn't put the grade you got in the class in? Or put that it was a semester class?

I took an art class to fulfill the requirement, but I've always been told by my school never to transfer it to your high school transcript. I don't think that has affected your UC app, but you might want to check with your counselor just in case.

High schools may consider a single semester CC course as the equivalent of a full year high school course. UC requires a full year of art; maybe in your application you listed it as a single semester? That might have confused the computer.
