Direct Admit Foster- in-state?

chances for an in-state student?
31 ACT
2100 SAT
Running Start GPA at CC 3.9
good ecs

Really good chance, your stats are really similar to what mine were when i was admitted. I don’t know if the running start will make a difference, but to me it looks like you’ve got a great shot

thanks, wakesnowboard17 Couple of additional questions:
any idea how the budget cuts will affect Foster undergrad?

also, did you apply to honors, as well?
are there business oriented figs?

I really don’t think the budget cuts are going to have much of an effect on Foster. If you don’t already know, they are in the process of building a multimillion dollar new business school building called PACCAR Hall that is a state of the art facility on par with all of the nation’s top business schools. This development is ongoing and the school is still scheduled to be opened next fall. I didn’t apply to honors, if you have a fair number of credits already, as you probably do, I don’t think it is a great idea because the Honors College makes you fulfill many requirements that you would probably already have knocked out. I would instead opt towards departmental honors inside of Foster instead, which is what I plan to do. There are business oriented figs, in a way. As a Freshman direct student you will be required to take microecon, calc, and english comp. There are figs that group together econ and comp so that you can get 2 of your 3 requirements done first quarter.

^thanks for the info!
keeping my fingers crossed…

How early do they accept applications?
I am doing my first info tour on Monday, hopefully, I will get to see some of the business school, including the new construction.

Well to get into Foster, all you have to do is put business administration as your intended major on your UW app, and you are automatically considered. I don’t remember when UW starts accepting apps, I think I applied in mid november or so and was accepted at the beginning of january. You will be accepted to UW before you are accepted to Foster, I was first notified of my Foster acceptance in mid march. Thats good, I was just there last week. Just remember, if you tour buildings such as Balmer and think they are old and wore down, there should be a brand new building opened for you next year.

with a 3.9 gpa, you’re pretty much in.

i actually think its easier to get as an upper division applicant.

^ thanks, sf88, but I will be applying as a freshman due to the way Running Start is handled even though I will have taken over 12 classes at the cc, it is still a first year application.
