Direct admit into Kelley....

What does one need to have / do to gain direct admission into Kelley ?
For those who do get direct admission, does the school ever award any
merit scholarships ? Thanks. Marc

Here are the rules on direct admission into Kelley:

(it's at the top of the following website)

Here's the website for possible scholarships relating to direct admit status:

Thanks so much. My son, a junior in hs now, has a 4.6(w) GPA, 15 of 575, 1430 / 2140 SAT, good amount of ECs.. ( He took the SAT I again to try to bump it up a bit, and will take 2 SAT IIs in June ). I think, if admitted, he seems to qualify for direct Kelley. As far as merit schol., out of our hands...
IU will probably be on his list along with GW, UVa, UMd, BU, perhaps Lehigh. Thanks again. Best of luck. Marc

Sounds like a good group of candidate schools for your son. Other good business schools for him might be NYU, Michigan, Wake Forest, Texas, USC and Villanova.

P.S. My son is taking summer courses at UVA right now before returning to Indiana Univ in the Fall. He thinks it will be kind of fun to be able to take courses from multiple schools and compare the level of instruction and similarities/differences between the various college towns.

UVa is certainly a fine school. A few of the kids from around here ( NJ ) currently attend that school. Getting accepted seems to be somewhat tricky for OOSers. UMichigan is also a popular biz school for kids around here. Might be worth a trip up there to check it out. As I work in NYC, I am pretty familiar with NYU. How does your son like IU ? What is he studying ? Thanks. Much success. Marc

My son, who is studying finance and business law, likes the school and the professors, but considers the town a bit rural--meaning there aren't a lot of social activities in town (just at the school). He's moving out of the dorms and into the downtown area of Bloomington (down on Kirkland Ave) next year, so we'll see if that changes his mind any.
