on my direct deposit, it says active but states not found or something...
wut did i do wrong?
also did anyone receive their fin aid money yet?

i havent gotten mine yet either…it usually comes a few days after billing is done.

direct deposit has nothing to do with financial aid until AFTER your fees are paid.
- your financial aid money will go into your STUDENT account (with the exception of work study)
- the money in your student account will automatically pay for charges that are also in your student account
- AFTER the deadline to pay your bills and after your bills are paid, THEN direct deposit will come into play IFF you have any aid leftover in your student account.
- this leftover aid will go into your direct deposit bank account.

if you haven’t gotten aid yet and you’ve registered, its PROBABLY because you are not enrolled in at least 6 units or something like that, or because its saturday and no one is in the office to approve financial aid deposits.

I haven’t gotten my financial aid either, but I have 10 enrolled units right now.

i think what the op was trying to ask is: when will we get the financial aid money into our “STUDENT” account.
i understand that everything will be automatically paid and the rest will be given to us through direct deposit. the question is. when?

i still havnt gotten mine yet, so i had to spend my own money instead of the aid to buy textbooks and such.

next week probably. but no matter what, if they put money into your student account past the september 17th deadline, you won’t be penalized.

@xxmsp91: unfortunately, you will probably have to spend your own money to purchase/rent books for i think every quarter because direct deposit comes about a week into the quarter, well after when you’ll want to get them for the beginning of the quarter. you’ll probably want to try to keep this in mind as you spend your aid money.

you know what I was wondering?

if they aren’t going to fix the housing bill issue till later, how is financial aid applied?

^ what issue?

your normal disbursement will be given to you, and in about a week or two the difference will either be charged or deposited into your account.

*the issue: everyone is initially charged for a double, no matter what their rooming situation is
