Direct Freshman Admission?

Hello to everyone!

Currently I am a high school senior and just got an acceptance letter from IUB.
I've applied to Kelley School of Business for entrepreneurship... but I'm confused with the 'Future IU Freshman' information... especially with 'Direct Freshman Admission.'
According to the section, it mentions:

-Admitted to IU Bloomington and indicated business as your intended major
-ACT composite score of 29 or SAT total of 1270 (including only math and critical reading sections)
-Top 10 percent of high school class or 3.7 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)

I don't get it. I applied to my desired major and school that I'd like to apply to.
And now it says that I have to re-apply while I am studying in IUB.

Thing is that, I got 3.93 on my GPA unweighted, rank #1, got 1220 on my SAT; I found out that my SAT scores lack about 50 points.

Should I try for petition? After all, my SAT scores lack some, but my GPA exceeds over 3.7.
Moreover, just because I lack one of the criterion, does it mean that I have to start my college year similar to 'undecided?'

I know this is a complicated topic, but I desparately need your advice.
Any comments or random statements are extremely welcomed!

Petition, petition, petition!

Most of the time they will accept students who have criterion like yours, but petition as soon as possible! If you do not get on a petition then you can apply once you meet the standard admissions criterion. If you have to wait for standard admission it does not mean that you are “undecided”, it will say something along the lines of you being Pre-Business.

Also you should consider the Kelley Living Learning Center for your dorm if you are serious about business. The floor is all direct admits and future business students - it gives you the opportunity to have people around you that have the same interests and also some of the same classes!
