DIRECT HITS vs ROCKET REVIEW vs SPARK NOTES

which one of these is preferred over the other?
I got both volumes of DIRECT HITS and I just have the vocablist from rocket review and spark notes ; I don't mind buying them if they are better than DH.
Which one is the most preferred among the three ?
people who have gone through any of these should know better.
Also,is GRUBBER's SAT required ?

p.s.-my aim is a 2400, so please suggest accordingly.
any help will be highly treasured.thanks

I have memorized all three!

which one did you find to be the best ?

10 char

Stick with DH. When you’re aiming for 2400, it’s a kind of crapshoot anyway. If you really want to memorize the words, then you’re better off not spending the money on the other books. Instead just pull vocab lists from online. They are essentially the same thing…only free.

I speak from experience here, do Direct Hits- know those words inside out. The other lists simply don’t match up to Direct Hits. I did this and got NMS.

Good luck, a 2400 is #$&@* good score!

Unless english is your first language, the Direct Hits alone is not enough. However, combined with other lists–especially Barron’s HF–it can be powerful enough to “demolish” about 17-18 sentence completion questions.
Because I am not native and I don’t interact with english at school nor at home, I have already memorized these 3 lists. To be completely honest, I am working on the last one–sparknotes 1000.

Spark Notes 1000 common words is a very effective list. It can be also refered as to a “Demo-version” of Barron’s 3500. I personally adhere to the statement that both of them are tantamount in their power. However, unlike the barron’s 3500–which contains plethora of unneccesary words–the Spark Notes 1000 has only important words.
