Direct Stafford Loan

I got on my SAR that Im only eligible for a DSF, do I need a co-signer (I don't really know if this is the correct word). My parents are 74 and 63 and they pretty much can't cosign anything anymore, and Im short on family members to cosign so I was wondering if I'd need someone to do this.

Thank you

Stafford loans do not require a cosigner. They are in the name of the student only.

A Direct Stafford Loan is guaranteed, as long as you meet the conditions to receive federal aid and you are enrolled at least half time.

what a relief.

thanks!
