HI you seem to know a lot about FSU. My son was accepted and is accepted into the learners scholar program, which is a community outreach program. they only accept a limited amount of kids, and it comes with a scholarship. Myson will also be getting bright futures. altho we are Florida residents, my son grew up overseas, and I always envisioned him in a small LAC, not a huge state school. But it seems the small colleges he got accepted to are going to cost a great deal. FSU will basically be very cheap and affordable. I worry that it is so big. My son has always been a huge fish in a small pond and i worry he will get "lost" in the crowd and not be able to manage the big classes. I worry that he will be in classes that are huge and his profs wont know him. I am writig to you because you seem to post a lot of things on FSU and would like to get your feel. My son just missed getting into the honors program so that is out for him. but he did apply for a live/learning dorm which i think will make the big school a bit more personable. Would love to hear your insights. he was also accepted t Univ of miami, which i can see him at, and it is smaller, and he is in the school of comm there, where at FSU he willhave to apply for that major, but UM is going to cost us about 80K for the 4 years, even with a 50% tuition schola. tht he got. any advice for us?
