Directions for a visitor...

I'll be coming to JHU from UMD College Park, and from the Maryland Transit website, I've figured that this itinerary makes sense:

-Board University of Maryland shuttle from Campus to College Park station
-Board MARC Camden Line train from College Park station to Camden Yards
-Board Light Rail (red line) from Camden Yards to Penn station
-Walk north up Charles Street or Maryland Avenue from Penn Station to Homewood campus

I would really appreciate it if a local could look these over and tell me if I'm missing something. The Johns Hopkins website says to take a cab from Penn Station to Hopkins, but is that really necessary? They seem pretty close to each other.

Also, any information on visiting classes this coming Friday (11.16) would be awesome.

To anybody who replies, thanks so much!

The walk from Penn Station to the Homewood campus will take about 20 minutes ... that is why we recommend the cab ride. It is much quicker and much easier.

As far as classes, you will need to check-in at the Admissions front desk in Mason Hall and ask to see the class guide. Do note that there are far less classes to visit on Fridays.

Information sessions on Friday will be at 10am and 1pm; Tours at 11am and 2pm.
