<p>This is the prompt for the college: In the space provided, please write a concise narrative in which you describe a meaningful event, experience or accomplishment in your life and how it will affect your college experience or your contribution to the UF campus community. You may want to reflect on your ideas about student responsibility, academic integrity, campus citizenship or a call to service. </p>

<p>I wanted to discuss my hearing impairment as my experience (I'm deaf in my right ear). Would writing about that in my essay help at all, or would it look clich</p>

<p>I’m definitely not an adcom or anything, but personally, I think it’s a good idea that I would be really interested to read about. As they say, it’s not the essay topic but how you write it. Make sure it’s never negative/complaining, and try to show what you learned from it. If it’s important to you, I’m sure you’ll be able to write something thoughtful about it.</p>
