Disadvantaged background - not asking for Financial Aid?

Recently I discovered that a foundation is going to pay for my college, no matter how much will it cost (yes, I'm really really lucky).

The question is: I talked about my disadvantaged background in one of my essays. Will the Admissions Office see the checked box of the "no" in the "will apply for finaid?" as a proof that I'm lying about my background?

If it's need-blind, A isn't supposed to know what B is doing, isn't it?

No, it`s not need-blind :(

Maybe you should send the admissions and financial aid office a letter explaining that the foundation is going to pay your costs.

Um 'rentof2, thanks! Hope they`ll see the letter in time for consideration...

some foundations will require you to file the FAFSA in order to qualify for federal and state funds -- double check on that.

If time is an issue you could phone, too, and ask to speak to the admissions officer assigned to your region (or however the school assigns officers to applicants), but send them a letter as backup anyway. Never hurts to have a piece of paper in your file in case of questions.
