disadvantaging to apply for transfer to more than 1 ivy?

it's no rumor that the ivy league schools talk amongst themselves regarding their applicants for freshman admissions. choosing to ignore this bit of wisdom from my high school guidance counselor, i applied to 7 of the 8 ivies, and as a result, was only offered admissions to one. i am currently attending that university. i would really like to transfer to harvard or yale; would it disadvantage me to apply to both, since they are likely to compare application pools?

thanks :D

No disadvantage. Apply your heart out.

One bit of advice however: in the case you are accepted, you may find yourself not satisfied with your new school. I transferred to an Ivy League myself, but I'm not finding the new environment that accepting.

There's no reason you shouldn't submit transfer applications, but I would strongly encourage you to approach your school with an open mind at the same time.

Apply away! haha

i know what you mean by ivies being disappointing. i thought that the hardest part would be getting in and the rest would be smooth sailing, but that's not the case at all. the grade deflation here is so bad :(
