Disappointed with your results?

honestly, i can’t understand why people who get 2300+ complain - those are good enough for ivies. it’s understandable if you got a 2240 and you want to retake - i would recommend everyone to retake to get a 2300+.

so i was SUPER ****ed i got 10-11 wrong on writing (EVEN WITH A 12 ON THE ESSAY!) so ended up getting 730 in writing. like wth, i usually got 3-4 wrong in writing in the BB!

and cr, it was 730 which i know could’ve been better.

and math - 760. i know i def got 1 wrong, but if 1 wrong = 760, that’s fudged up. srsly.

i got…
550 cr
660 m
650 w

i wanted 700 m and 600 cr

dolcevalse, 1 wrong on math is 790. I would know because that’s what I got.

yea i dont think 1 wrong is 760.

I’m definitely retaking. I got a 2260. I’ve never taken a full practice test before so I know I can do better. What frustrates me is the math. I know I can get an 800 becase I’ve gotten 800 on Math II SATII and 36 on all the math act’s. Essay frustrates me, I didn’t know what kind of essays to expect.
Critical Reading 750
Math 740
Writing 770
Multiple Choice 80 (score range: 20-80)
Essay 8

on the collegeboard website, my essay score doesnt show up, but i still got my math, cr, and writing scores…is that normal??

Aznjunior got about the same as you.

740 - Math
740 - Critical Reading
760 - Writing

I thought I had only missed one problem on math. I must have missed something else that was easy… because I went through every problem on here. I’ll just superscore the 800 I already have in Critical Reading with this Math and Writing… 2300. That’s fine with me.

760 Math
750 CR
720 Writing

2230 total. Not bad, but I KNOW that I could’ve done better on the Writing section and that irks me.

I got a 2310 with 790 CR / 720 M / 800 W (80/12). I would normally not retake except I’m very dissatisfied with my math score (especially because I’m probably majoring in engineering - although this score distribution is making me rethink that). I’m confident I can get 770-800; I got 800s on all three BB tests I took the week before the SAT.

I’m pleased with 2310…I just wish it had been 770/770/770 or something like that.

What should I do? It was my first time taking the test and I am disappointed with myself:
750-CR
660-M
730-W
70-MC

11-Essay

TOTAL: 2140

What do you think I should do about that math score?

Hi crazy. I tied with you and I am totally not retaking!

PS: How can you guys see your essay score??? ICANT :(

mcvcm, when you go to CB’s website, don’t go to your scores page the normal way - there should be a link (if you’re logged in) that says, “Your March scores are up” or something like that. Click that.

I saw my scores and they look like:

Critical Reading: 670
Math: 790
Writing: 680

That’s all that I can see.

Someone just posted a link in the scores thread… try that.

It brought me to the same thing as usual. Could the problem be that at the top of my page, it sayss: Your March 2009 score report and essay will be available on April 13, 2009

Ah that could be the problem… mine just says “YOUR MARCH SCORES ARE IN!” and then at the bottom it says more info will be available next week.

^ Nope, I think both pages are normal, they are just different. It’s just that on the one with ‘‘YOUR MARCH SCORES ARE IN’’, the percentiles are displayed.

Yeah mcvcm92, mine says same exact thing and I can’t see my essay score no matter what method I try.

Is there a difference between 790 math and 800 math? Because I got 790 and I too usually don’t miss any on that section. And how good/bad is a 740 in CR if I plan on majoring more math/science than the humanities? Is it worth retaking just to try to raise CR and clinch the 800 for math?

Can anyone explain to me how the math curve is working? Going through the scores thread I see scores of 800, 790, 780, 760, 740, 720, 710, 700. There’s no way the math curve is that generous…
