I applied to the arts and sciences school at Cornell for regular decision. I've been reading the other threads and apparently people have received some sort of letter regarding the completion of their application and an ID code that allows access to an application status website. I haven't received anything like that. I know they have my application, otherwise I would have never been contacted for an interview. I just tried calling the admissions office, but they're closed, so I have to call back tomorrow. Can anybody give me details about this letter? Was it e-mail or snail mail? Thanks.

I don't think I got that either..

I applied to CALS, got accepted, but never received anything like that. So I wouldn't worry.

While I applied to Engineering, my friends applied to CAS. For a long time they didn't get their application acknowledgement. They send it to your email. If you didn't get one, go online and in the self help page, type in your email, and they should email your password to you. I never tried this out myself however.

I signed myself up for the self-check website without prior e-mail or postal notice. I can't remember when I did this, exactly, but I know that I've checked the website countless times in the past few months and I have good feelings about being accepted.

I think the self-check website may be new enough (a few years, maybe) that they haven't got a system established for sending every applicant an ID or a link to the website. It's a good idea to register yourself, but I don't think that the lack of individual notification connotes a rejection.

Thanks everyone. I did a search in my e-mail box and found that hidden was an e-mail from December 20th that I must have forgotten about. So maybe it's not a disaster. Thanks though!
