Hey guys, I was caught cheating in a test in my sophomore year, and as a result got 0 for that test. It’s the only time I’ve been recorded for disciplinary action and I deeply regret my actions, but for the CommonApp where it asks for my disciplinary action, should I check the yes box? Because I’ve seen people on the forum asking about suspensions… Also how badly will this affect my chances of getting into a higher end college?
Was this just a zero for the test or did you have some administrative action? I guess it is something you need to know if it is a notation on your transcript or will be in the GC letter. If it was between you and the teacher I wouldn’t call it a disciplinary action.
Ah ok thanks I believe it was just a zero for a test, but I do believe it is on my transcript.
Ask your guidance counselor if there is disciplinary action listed on your transcript. If the school reports that you were caught cheating and you do not self-report that cheating admissions people will turn you down.
