I am currently on deferred suspension at my University, with a sanction of disciplinary probation effective for the next semester. I have recently applied to several transfer schools, and one asked if I had ever been on disciplinary probation. I answered no because I have not, and regardless of what happens I am not coming back to my current school next year. Technically I was not lying, but I was wondering if the school ever did find out about my disciplinary history, would they view that as a falsification of my application? Any information would be appreciated so I can decide whether or not to disclose my discipline record before its too late.

hmm, if the school uses the common app for transfer, how did you answer

Disciplinary History
Have you ever been found responsible for a disciplinary violation at any educational institution you have attended from 9th grade (or the international equivalent)
forward, whether related to academic misconduct or behavioral misconduct, that resulted in your probation, suspension, removal, dismissal, or expulsion from
the institution?

I think you should let them know about what’s going on. It’s definitely something they should know about, especially if it’s for something like plagiarism.

the school does not use the common app, they have their own app. And the only three questions were have you ever been suspended (out of school), expelled, or on disciplinary probation.

Then if thats what they ask, thats what they ask. You might want to confirm what your transcript will say.
