I went to a major university (MSU) for 1 semester and did not do good. I stopped going to schoool for a few years and currently only working. When applying for schools again, is it REQUIRED for me to disclose my semester at MSU if I would like none of my credits to transfer and enroll as an incoming freshman? (I only got 6 credits at most)

You have to send every transcript involved with your education to the school you are applying to. Almost every single college in the U.S. is enrolled in the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), and they will share information about which colleges you attended and for how long.

So, no, you cannot hide old transcripts.

Yes it is required to disclose any schools you have attended.

If you don’t you will easily be caught and your admission rescinded; for info on the company used for tracking see [National Student Clearinghouse: Colleges and Universities: StudentTracker: Individual Look-Up](http://www.studentclearinghouse.org/colleges/Tracker/batch_files.htm)
