Prices are poor on the Dell systems and average on the Apple systems. I'm curious as to what the University Software Image is.

To put things in perspective:

The base Macbook

Through ACT:
4 year warranty
Good repair service on campus
Loaner computers available
$1,458.00

Through the Apple Store (using educational discount)
3 year AppleCare Warranty
iPod Nano 2gb for free after Mail-In Rebate
Financing Available
$1,630.46
-$179 (Mail-In Rebate)
=$1451.46

okay bigj, the age old question...

mac vs. pc?

yeah...i´m a little annoyed cause i just bought a macbook, and it would be nice to have the on-campus repair service available for free.... although i assume i could always bring it in to be serviced even if i didn´t buy it through ACT? (anyone know about this?) hopefully it won´t need servicing in the next couple years anyway, haha.

yeah macbooks are really nice but idk how to use them.....how long does a laptop last, anyway?
