Discover/Celebrate UCI?

April 9/15; 18: Who's going?

imma go on apr. 9th

Hmm that’s weird they’re on week days… I don’t think i can come :/

15th!

(18th is on a saturday)

I’m going the 18th. =]
Cant go on weekdays. even tho spring break is the week of the 6th.

Don’t know if I can go to Celebrate UCI

but I’ll try

might go on the 18th! free parkinggggg. HAHA

what exactly do you do on this day…?
is it aimed toward incoming freshmen?

it seems lik celebrate is mostly as the title suggests, a celebration. and discover is more of the admit day type deal.

the 9th/15th is more for freshmen

I would recommend going on the 18th you will see all kinds of stuff. Discover UCI is cool too though(thats what I ended up going to).

some of my friends said that visiting a college on an open house day or something of that nature won’t give you a real feel of the school because those are the days where they’re trying to recruit you and appeal to what you’re looking for. in other words, they’re putting on a good front for incoming freshmen. do you think this is true?

would going to uci (or any other college for that matter) on a typical school day be a better experience for how the school will be like when fall semester actually starts?

^^
I think thats true to some extent. They have to get you interested in their campus because its an event day, it can’t be just like a normal day or else no one would attend.

I’m going on monday the 31st to visit and the celebrate uci on the 18th.
I’ll see how big the difference is.

I think the discover days during the week are not much different than normal, I mean most of the campus could care less about the incoming freshman and are going to go about their day. Celebrate UCI(the Sat event) will be different however.

indiowho- lol, thought so

i know right? haha stating the obvious
but what I meant to say was what tatertos said…

Deng… I booked for the 9th ):

hmm i dunno i really wanted the campus tour and house tour

^what do you mean?
Im on the 9th too

I need to check at SOP

mannn whenever i try to RSVP for it, it bounces me to a page to ERROR:
